Len's life story - Welcome to My World

Len has always been inventive. I wrote his life story in 2007 and was astonished to find that he had been creative at a very young age. In fact I'm surprised he survived to this ripe old age - especially as he was making his own fireworks at about twelve years old!In 1997 Len started a club for inventors in the West Midlands. Originally meeting in Sandwell, a year later it moved to Merry Hill, Dudley and subsequently became the Black Country Inventors Club.

Len was Chairman for three years, before stepping down due to business commitments. The club came about to help like-minded individuals, with a diversity of skills and talents to discuss inventions and ideas(protected by a confidentiality agreement) and to find innovative solutions to their ideas.

Conceive-Believe-Achieve

Our members are aged from 18 to 80+. It's often very difficult for the lone inventor. There are so many "sharks" out there in the wide world waiting to take advantage of the inexperienced inventor, and the club has been very successful at helping inexperienced inventors to avoid pitfalls. If you've got an invention, do find a local inventor's club. You'll get good advice, you never know, you could be the next Dyson! If you live in the Midlands, two very good clubs are: The Birmingham Inventors, http://www.birmingham-inventors.org.uk or http://www.malvern-inventors.co.uk
